OMAHA — Two people were shot to death outside an Omaha hotel Thursday morning, police said.

The shooting happened around 7:30 a.m., when police were called to a Best Western hotel near 108th and L streets, police said. Arriving officers found two people — a man and a woman — with gunshot wounds outside the building.

Michael Harbour, 35, and Nicole Hatten, 36, were declared dead at the scene.

A hotel clerk who answered the phone Thursday morning told the Omaha World-Herald that the two people killed had been guests at the hotel.

Investigators were questioning potential witnesses, police said. Authorities did not immediately release other details of the shooting or whether police have any suspects.
