Wildfires Smoky Skies

Smoke from wildfires in western states prompted cautions regarding air quality in Nebraska on Wednesday.

At 5 p.m., air quality was rated moderate in Lincoln, with sensitive groups encouraged to limit prolonged outdoor exertion. Conditions are expected to improve Thursday over eastern Nebraska, officials said.

Smoke may continue to be an issue over western and central Nebraska.
